It is Written – A Journey Through the New Testament (3)

jesusisthereasonI saw a child the other day at church say, “God loves me soooo much” and then she spread out her arms side to side as wide and as far as she was able to indicate that as far as her little fingers tried to stretch, God loved her just a little bit more than that. 

She gets it!  God does love us “soooooo much”!  I hope you (as an adult) understands that too, after you read these verses as we continue our journey through the New Testament.

1 Corinthians 3:9. “It is written” – I am God’s fellow worker, I am God’s field, and I am God’s building.

1 Corinthians 3:16. “It is written” – I am a temple of God in which the Spirit of God indwells.

1 Corinthians 3:17. “It is written” – I am a holy temple of God.

1 Corinthians 3: 21-22. “It is written” – all things belong to me, as I belong to Christ.

1 Corinthians 6:17. “It is written” – I am one spirit with Christ.

1 Corinthians 6:19. “It is written” – my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in me.

1 Corinthians 6:20. “It is written” – I have been bought with a price.

1 Corinthians 7:22. “It is written” – I am Christ’s slave.

1 Corinthians 15:52. “It is written” – I will be raised from the dead imperishable.

1 Corinthians 15:53. “It is written” – I will put on immortality.

2 Corinthians 1:4. “It is written” – I am comforted by God.

2 Corinthians 1:10. “It is written” – I am delivered from the peril of death.

2 Corinthians 1:22a. “It is written” – I am sealed in Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:22b. “It is written” – I have been given the Spirit as a deposit.

2 Corinthians 2:15. “It is written” – I am a fragrance of Christ to God among both the saved and lost.

2 Corinthians 3:3. “It is written” – I am a letter of Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:6. “It is written” – I am a servant of the new covenant.

2 Corinthians 3:18. “It is written” – I am being transformed into the likeness of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:1. “It is written” – I have received mercy.

2 Corinthians 4:7. “It is written” – I have the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 4:10. “It is written” – the life of Christ is manifested in my body.

2 Corinthians 4:16. “It is written” – my inner man is being renewed day by day.

2 Corinthians 5:1. “It is written” – I have a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2 Corinthians 5:7. “It is written” – I live by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:17. “It is written” – I am a new creature in Christ, old things have passed away, and all things have become new.

2 Corinthians 5:18. “It is written” – I have the ministry of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:20. “It is written” – I am an ambassador for Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:21. “It is written” – I am the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 9:8. “It is written” – I have all sufficiency in everything.

2 Corinthians 10:7. “It is written” – I am Christ’s.

2 Corinthians 13:5. “It is written” – Jesus Christ is in me.

Galatians 2:20a. “It is written” – I am crucified with Christ.

Galatians 2:20b. “It is written” – Christ lives in me.

Galatians 3:26. “It is written” – I am a son of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:28. “It is written” – I am one in Jesus Christ with all believers.

Galatians 3:29. “It is written” – I am Abraham’s offspring. I am an heir according to the promise.

Galatians 4:6. “It is written” – I am a son of God.

Galatians 4:7. “It is written” – I am no longer a slave, but a son; and if the son, then an heir through God.

Galatians 5:22-23. “It is written” – I have the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Ephesians 1:1. “It is written” – I’m a faithful saint in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 1:2. “It is written” – I have grace and peace.

Ephesians 1:3. “It is written” – I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
