Jesus was there
When the void became light
And the night became day
And the firmament became the universe;
He beheld the expanse and the glory
declaring it all good!

Jesus was there
When the mountains, seas, and 
every living creature was created.
Breathing life into man and woman,
Sculpting their bodies into His Image,
Enjoying the fellowship with His children!

Jesus was there
When the serpent tempted, and His children sinned
And there was separation that required redemption, 
repentance, a sacrifice, a cross, a Saviour. 
Blood staining the ground, a sanctification,
and a triumphant Resurrection!

Jesus was there 
At the beginning and end. 
The Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.
Genesis through Revelation, with every hero and
villain named and unnamed in the Bible. 
Jesus was there.

Jesus is there
Today, Tomorrow and Always. 
He was, is, and always will be.
When life is uncertain, and unraveling 
He remains constant and unchanging. 
Jesus is always there.

Jesus will be there in all His Glory!
When the trumpets sound declaring His return!
When the angels herald His coming!
And every knee will bow and every tongue confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord!
Hallelujah!

So sleep well beloved. 
Your Hope is secure. 
I will never leave you, or forsake you;
I love you with a love everlasting. 
You are never alone. 
Jesus is here.
